Handmade / Apple corrr!

Since I last blogged time has flown by, mostly in a blur of Friday afternoon ice cream, school summer fayres and chickenpox!

But we’re now into the final furlong of this school year, which means… teacher thank you presents! Last year I made a funky apple cosy, to Sara Sinaguglia’s pattern. This year I’m sticking with the fruity theme, and have crocheted Moo’s teacher a peachy (or should that be appley?) brooch, inspired by the Simply Crochet pattern. Job done!

Other handmade wares this month have included a tiny flip-flop key ring, flower brooch (which used the first few rows of the Attic 24 flower cushion pattern) and ice lolly, all crocheted with love for a summertime swap, and mailed off to Australia. I absolutely love the unexpected but extremely welcome new friends in far-flung places that this handmade world reveals to me!

Happy summer everyone!
